Flopping around in the engine?

This is maybe true at high rpms, but an e-fan can run at high speed while the engine is idling or low rpms, like wheeling slowly or bumper to bumper traffic.
Good point about the shrouding, it can take some fabrication skills to make a good shroud for an e-fan. I spent a lot of time making this one:

I couldn't care less about how it works when the engine is idling, I care about how it works when I'm working the nads off my truck. Every time I used e-fans they can't keep the temps down when you are working hard, but you are right, they work great when you are idling or stream crossing.

All I can say is that I've used e-fans a number of times and they never worked as well as a mechanical.
I couldn't care less about how it works when the engine is idling, I care about how it works when I'm working the nads off my truck. Every time I used e-fans they can't keep the temps down when you are working hard, but you are right, they work great when you are idling or stream crossing.
