Only stating the effects that occured when I decided to try something a little different. I didn't intend for the shocks to lift it, but they did. That's not my fault. Also, the vehicles sits more level and drives better when hauling a loaded car trailer. So I thought I would post my good news and possibly benefit someone in the future. I'll openly admit that I do not know the exact science of exactly what caused the lift. When more weight is applied, the springs and shocks compress as they are intended to do. The ride is a more firm than with my previous shocks but definetly not due to bottomed out shocks. You guys are all a little too critical of anyone who does not research every aspect of trivial automotive knowledge. If you post a question, I may be or may not be able to answer. But if you post "you're wrong, not possible, incorrect info", then what the hell am I supposed to reply with? I know what i did and I know the results. What could I possibly be trying to prove if I posted a blatant lie?

without before pics, I see it as pointless. I also live in the boondocks of west virginia where the only internet available is dial-up, why should I wait 30-60 minutes to load one picture onto a thread that shows specific measurements? If you want the idea of what it did for mine with 31" tires, use a tape measure on yours and use imagination. I'm about done defending myself for trying to help people.

I think we would all like to see pictures of the actual shock setup. Not the ride height.

A shock absorber, by nature, does not provide any lift whatsoever.

I'm sure that I'm not incorrect about a simple installation that includes one bolt and one nut. By nature, it naturally lifted the back of the vehicle. If at all possible, could this thread simply be deleted? I tried to offer a simple alternative rather than the same thing everyone is already using and get completly shot down. If someone other than me wants to try it, go for it. But you'll be wrong when the back of your 4runner mysteriously get higher. If my e-penis (postcount) was higher, I'll bet there wouldn't be any doubt. I'm sick of the frustration of being accused of not knowing what the hell I'm talking about so I'm done with this. It was a dumbass idea even though it works better than aftermarket shocks I've used. If you want to know my set up... remove shock, replace with dumbass idea shock, bolt together, drive. You all know what the shocks look like, I didn't change locations or add anything other than different shocks, so why is it so damn necessary to see what mine looks like. As said before, I moved to the middle of nowhere in west virginia, the only internet I can get for under $100 a month is dial-up. If anyone remembers what dial-up is, it's not exactly the best for uploading pictures. I attempted this last night and got pissed off after trying for 2 and half hours to upload one damn picture. If anyone wants to try this and actually gets some lift from it, don't tell anyone, you'll look like a complete ass like me.
