Doing this in my shop with minimal equipment and cost.
doing it in stages fenders, doors, hood, top... then I'll tackle the rear end, lots of body work on it.
Using shop line products with the 033 white factory code paint.

Got about $300 in supplies so far.
I don't have a big enough air compressor to do more than a panel at a time, but it's working out great just lots of masking off and patience.
It's not a show truck so it's not perfect but I don't care.

Looks good! I'd like to repaint mine one day, and you're definitely giving me some hope that it can turn out decent. I like the fender flares you have on there as well.

thank you. The flares were already on the rig when I bought it... thought maybe they were covering up some rusty fenders, BUT they weren't!!! It was nearly prefect under them.
I'm enjoying doing this and about time I get finished, I'll be good enough to start.
it's not perfect but getting better as I go.
The hood was in terrible shape, lots of dents and dings, creases... I'll get a pristine hood someday and paint it.
I have some orange peel going on because I wasn't reducing the epoxy primer enough and the clear wasn't reduced enough either... too thick/ orange peel, too thin/runs... it's a learning curve.

Be sure to get the same number of white coats on each part to ensure even coverage or the primer could show through.
And don’t be afraid to put the clear on heavily. Runs are not as big a deal as with single stage paint.
There will always be a couple “fixes” after the painting is done.
looks really good! mel has some good experience and good results on painting his 4runner, so take note.
i think someday is right, even though you believe it to be shadow, it sure looks like the gutter sealer is totally cracked and should have been removed and resealed. a-pillar leaks are likely based on what it looks like, from personal experience.
Whoever put on the fender flares cut the fender wheel wells , pretty much a hack job. oh well, I like the flares.
the fronts they just trimmed the back edge a little bit.. the rear they cut the whole dang fender ??? Shhhesh

no plans to paint the topper, plans to lightly go over it with a scotch pad
metal trim going back on after considerable cleaning to get the nasty urethane mess the windshield installer did...
I already reinstalled the lower piece.
clips are broke on the pillars and top edge, sooo I'll urethane those back in place and hope no need to remove them for the rest of my life... lol
I'll mask off every place i DON'T want urethane for nice clean lines and install
