Lesson learned: Don't drive into deep mud pits with halfway bald front tires and don't use a cork gasket on anything.

Anyway, the truck could have died from the distributor getting wet, or a sensor or all kinds of possible things. If your intake is dry and you didn't stand on the pedal, I don't think you would have spun a bearing, if water was able to seep into your gasket, oil would be able to seep out.

So have you figured anything out Tuff? I'm curious as to what exactly happened to it. Did you try pulling all the plugs and cranking it to make sure you didnt pull any water in?

I think if your spun a bearing it is coincidence unless you sat there red lined for awhile.

Are your rollbar light lenses coated with mud repellant? Weird that mud is everywhere but on the glass..

Good luck hopefully it is something simple. I always check the water with a pole/stick or something..never heard of anyone daring someone to do it also offer to pay for broke stuff...

If everything you said is correct, I doubt that you spun a bearing that quickly, unless you had an issue before.

Water could enter at many places and not just the pan gasket. The oil cooler seal, the dipstick Oring could be not sealing (and if its stock it surely isnt), etc.

Pull the plugs (crank if over really good to clear any water out), drain the oil, refill and try to start.

Post up a video

Drain the oil = no water
Cranked with no plugs = nothing came out.

Tires = Dunlop RV Radial Rovers (They were free and are NEW)
The lights are sprayed with mudd repellent SPF 6000

Max RPM was 4500. I watched the tach the whole time
Motor spun a bearing and IS knocking. Going to pull the motor, drop the pan and pull the bearings, check the rods and go from there.

Sucks to spin a bearing but also dont forget, even though u said it didnt , ur engine can still get water in it if the pipe is sumbereged just right. FYI

Sounds like you went to a shop. I do all motor work myself, at my house.

Oil pan gasket ~ $10.00
Bearings ~ $60.00

Well I knew the exhaust was filled, I'd imagine that's why It couldn't start right back up.

So I'm just gonna rebuild it and drive it around and not hit no mud until I finish my other frame that I'm currently SAS'ing

Pulled the motor out. Got it sitting on the stand right now. Dropped the pan and all of the connecting rods have way too much play at the crank. No spun bearings just think they were cheap quality since ALL of them have the same amount of play and all used the same bearings. Ganna pull the girdle and crank> Get the crank cut down 10 thousands and get some matching Clevites.

Did you match the main bearings to the crank for size? Sounds like you had the crank turned & didn't get larger bearings.....

Everything was standard except for the cylinder boring.

as you can see from picture I was stuck not to long ago. every problem i have had with my truck was a few days after that. maybe it had nothing to do with sitting in that water but less than a week after my rear 3rd started leaking like crazy I had a massive oil leak and I am finally down from 7 to just 1 cel code. I will be the first to admit that I am a total rookie when it comes to this stuff but it sure seemed strange that everything quit at once... i have had replaced the fuel filter, starter, coolant temp sensor, alternator, and had a shop do rear pinion seal, timing chain, oil pump and water pump. now its looking like my tps and afm are @#%$
