First Generation Runner Featured In Movie!
The movie is called Maze Runner: The Death Cure. I stumbled across this trailer which features the 4runner right at the beginning and then again at about the 50 seconds mark.

Cool. My wife and kid love that series so I'll probably have to go see it.

My son and I saw it too. Can't tell from the sound of the clip, but it could be V8 swapped or just filmed at a slower speed then we realize. I always thought old school Toyota 4x4's are great apocalypse vehicles.

Sorry to rain on the parade but this is in the wrong forum. That's a Cherokee. Xj to be exact. You can see in a few clips that thee is a rear door jamb which first gen runners are strictly 2 door. Theres a clip where you can see the top of the roof. You can see the roof runs all the way back and has the raised creases running length wise down it. Exactly like an xj.

I have to make a correction. Looks like they used both and was hoping nobody would notice. When the truck jumps in at the very first scene it is definitely a toy. Not sure if it's a pickup or runner. The rest of the train scene is a Jeep. Then the appearance at 50 seconds is a toy again.
I noticed when because in the train scene you can see the marker light under the headlight bit then noticed the markers on the corners at 50 seconds. Made me look closer

EDIT: Kolton5543 beat me to it, I am a slow typer...

Maze Runner Trucks
So that train chase scene in one scene? And they swapped trucks in the middle of the scene? BLOOPER! LOL! I like spotting bloopers!
Yep.
One with stinger is a MoreFunner. The one with wrap-around bull-bar could be a Jeep (see where emblem was removed on B-PIllar, and details of headlight surround).
