I set car alarms off and I still have a cat on it :/ I think I might have andrew, my exhaust shop guy make me a 2.25 pipe with flanges on it the same length as my cat. that way I can just innerchange them whenever i'd like whatcha'll think? would it make that big of a difference? heh

just do what I did and make a removable cat. if you really want the sound of the pipe just add the straight pipe haha so wait, no one really answered my question. how much louder would my truck be if I had a pipe with flanges on it put in instead of the cat?

inlet and outlet is 2.25
case length - 13.1
overall length - 18.1
thickness - 4.1
width - 7.8

doing a straight pipe on my truck is highly illegal... but I believe I could get away with it. no one would pull over a 4runner for their exhaust. wont hurt to try it out and see how it sounds, right?

if this were about a 22re, I'd constuctively chime in but since it's about a 3.0, that is a nice sounding 4R MaK

P.S.

My setup. if it makes any difference:

right off the header into the cat-back kit, obviously without the cat

I've said it once, and I'll say it again... everytime an auto enthusiast removes a cat, 2 more tree-hugging hippies by a hybrid and so the world goes 'round
