I just got RID of my 93 Honda Accord 19th Anniv edition. It had 280k+ and needed a new trans (2000k) and some engine work.
That was it for me!! I had just put in a new h20 pump, radiator, ans master cyl then this!!!!
I talked to ALOT of my friends and the one whos "Wife works at Toyota, N. American HQ, in Torrance, CA" said look at the 4runner.
He said that he has had 3 runners and owns a Highlander (wifes co. car) and a Sequoia and is trying to unload a 3rd gen 4runner for 13k. He also said that one of his 4runner sacraficed its life for his family on the way back from Mammoth.
I liked my HONDA BUT I LOVE MY 4RUNNER!!!!!!

Toyota Celica...early-mid 90's....a better car. Won't bring your testimacles back, but might stimulate more brain activity.
(I'm joking...honestly, but Toyota does make a better car.)

First off, the v6 transmission was not bad in the accord until the 03 body style. I worked at a honda dealer for two years and i do not think we did one transmission in the 98-02 body style (esp. at 60,000). Secondly if you do not like Honda's thats fine, your entitled to your opinion, but they do fall just behind toyota in the satisfaction category every year, and ahead of toyota in resale value. Add in the fact that until 2007 the accord is hands down better looking than the camry and I think its a pretty wise choice.
And all you people throwing out ricer comments need to grow up. Everyone in a accord or civics thinks your all dumbass rednecks so it goes both ways. Not every import that is done up is rice.

I second this...I had the L model impreza up in Alaska and I seriously could not get that baby stuck. Took it through creeks, snow over the wheels, 4x4 trails....you name it. My dream car is the WRX STI. You can't hardly kill a subaru if you try.

Replace the smiley with a Honda and I'm a happy guy.

I dont understand - I thought 2WD Pickups got good MPG?
3RZ swap and tall gears... should get close to 30?
Get a Diesel and run it on cooking oil and get mondo MPG...

i recommended the zuk sx-4, but we actually ended up with a subie forester (same frame as impreza, more clearance and cargo). yes, its nearly impossible to break free, holds on like nothing i've ever experienced in mixed snow and ice. the zuk however is very affordable in comparison, and loaded with standard features that are only options on much more expensive cars, and the warranty is "#1 in america". $16K fully loaded, its a screaming deal.

nothing wrong with a 98 accord. they changed up the body style after 97. my friend has a 99 accord 4 cyl and it is a good reliable car. rides very well, and has good styling to it. though i would be hesitant to associate the word luxury to it.. and no i doubt anyone will hate you but yourself, we will just think you are stupid..you ditched a 2WD 4CYL for another 2WD 4CYL,.. but really, getting rid of a 2wd, 4cyl truck was a good idea esp. considering the price made from the sell.

You all think that i am jesting, but i have spoken the 100 truth about this car. It is awesome. At 40 mpg, it is the ultimate mall crawler.
