You may have just answered your own question. If you know you have all the grounds that are mentioned in all the threads hooked up correctly, then perhaps this is homemade additional ground.

Many of us have added additional grounds, albeit thicker gauge copper wire.

So it may not be necessary? Got pretty far tonight but 1am came up on me fast. Basically just need to finish connecting things. Put in the radiator and air intake hose. Man was that fuel filter a pain to hook up. Along with the lower intake mani bolts on the bottom. Gonna try to fire it up tomorrow. Been through alot to get this truck where its at. Been doing all the work by myself and before this ive never wrenched on a toyota mainly a older volkswagen guy. This motor has alot of vacuum lines. Chain was very easy to install though. Dont mind the pink intake manifold thats the one that came with the truck. Id re paint it but at this point I dont even care just want to get it on the road. I replaced one fuel injector. Looks like ill have to do the other 3 down the road. I get them off rockauto for $28 each. Good quality parts. Love rock auto.

dumb question. How do you connect the throttle cable? Didnt get an o-ring for the lower intake's coolant pipe for the heater core. Just quite a bit of rtv so im hoping it doesnt leak if it does its back to the dealer for the 3rd time :|
