Eaton truetrac with A.D.D?
I mentioned this in another thread and searched on here and google without luck, but I'm going to give it another shot anyways lol. So I picked up a 4.88 A.D.D. diff out of a 95 4r to go into my 93 with ADD. I would like to put a truetrac in it but the part number 911A342 (which is correct for the 50mm carrier bearings) seems there might be a fitment issue (slop between the shafts and the inside diameter of the carrier bearing journal) with the ADD stub shafts since the stock carrier has the needle bearings to help support the stubshafts. I even called Eaton and their tech couldn't give me a straight answer on wither or not it would work with ADD, he just said there was an application that it would not work. Has anyone installed a truetrac in the ADD diff and had any issues with it? I would consider an ARB if it is compatible with said stubshafts too but my rig is a DD and I would rather not spend the money on a selectable locker. Or should I just leave the diff open? I purchased a rebuild kit so im going in it anyways so I figured id throw in something to help aid with traction up front on the trail. My rear i already have set up with a yukon grizzly locker so im covered there lol. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

I put a Truetrac in my '95 ADD 4Runner V6 with 4.56 gear. I failed to record the Truetrac part number, but I had no fitment issues with the axle stubs.
Pretty sure it was the 50mm journal model. looks like there are only two Truetrac part numbers for IFS. 45mm journal type and 50mm journal type.
Even though my ADD is still functional, I also have lock-out hubs installed, so that nothing in the front end turns while 2 wheeling on the street.
I like Truetracs in IFS fronts, but there's no substitute for some sort of real locker in the rear.
