Downey Torsion Bars

Yes you can get spacers for 2wds.
Here's the deal with torsion bars. You get stiffer torsion bars for the same reason you get stiffer leaf or coil springs, you want less flex. If you want to carry a heavy load in your truck all the time, you need springs that flex less right? Of course. Well since IFS is not terribly flexy suspension as it is, putting in a stiffer spring only makes it worse. Downey's torsion bars are about the stiffest there are.
You might consider them if you have a heavy winch/bumper combo or like to do the desert thing. In both cases the loads are a lot higher and a stiffer spring can help.
You can read up here.

Oh...I see. Well thanks for your help!
I found a site that sells spacers. Unfortunately the spacers are more money
But seems like it would work better for my application. Thanks!

hm..I thought you got thicker t-bars so you can "un-crank" them to get better flex
or just put them in there so they make the ride higher but sacrifice ride quality like you said.....
