This is a very interesting descussion...
in my family car = vehicle.
So i usualy say... " just a sec let me go move my car" or somebody might tell me... "i can't get out, your car is behind me" I never gave this a second thought, We always called our suburban a car and our deisel truck was a car too. Infact we have never even owned a "car" in the sence that you guys seem to look at it.

yes i call my 4runner a truck all the time. the term suv has been tainted by things like the H2.
my friend, who owns a ranger, corrects me all the time, pisses me off. sorry its a truck, solid rear axle, fully boxed frame, it hauls stuff (not a great as a true pickup, but good enough for me)

I always thought trucks had to have beds, but a good friend of mine has a bronco and i have been convinced to call it a truck. If that is true, then a runner would have to be a truck as well. They're all cars, vans, or trucks.

its a station wagon. all my friends hate that they have to have mudflaps on their trucks but the police leave me alone, even with 35's So to the police it is a station wagon but everybody else calls it a truck, but I just think it is fun.

Actually, the 4runner is just a trail-proven version of the grocery getter you see at all the mall parking lots this time of year

I think that pretty much any "SUV" that is based ion a truck frame would be a truck. I have 4runners and a Toy PU plus a Blazer and have owned several Suburbans and they are all definately TRUCKs Merry Christmas

It is:
my rig,
the big truck (to differentiate from the wifes truck-the '06 4Runner)
daddy's truck broke (my three year old)
money pit (the wife, parents, most everybody else)
I would rather own a Subaru than a SUV.
