code 26
well ok thanks for the instructions
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...595#post861595
now after i did this, i got a code 26
i see this means rich fuel mixture.... what do you think i should do next to remedy this?
btw, it is running a bit rough at idle.... so hoping that whatever the fix to the CEL coming on and off will also fix the rough idle
(some other quick info, O2 sensor is relatively new <1yr)
thanks in advance for everything

If you believe the O2 Sensor to be accurate, you may try going one click leaner on the AFM.
Could also be sloppy fuel injectors. Poor atomization can mean incomplete combustion and excess fuel out the exhaust.

Though I have chosen not to do this modification myself, it is my understanding that the AFM is adjustable. However, I believe you have to slice thru the silicone sealer around the plug on top of the AFM to get at the adjustment/ electronics. If you choose to do this, you also need to be sure to seal the plug with some non-volatile silicone (so the fumes wont affect the electronics). The electronics in there are also highly susceptible to moisture.

i'm going to opt not to adjust the AFM..... any other code 26 remedies anyone can offer?
if i pursue the fuel injectors issue, is getting the fuel injector service sufficient or should the fuel injectors themselves be replaced after ~160K???
How much do they run for all 6?

fuel injectors are expensive. You can have them cleaned and balanced for A LOT less, and they'll be as good as new. Have you checked all the basic stuff? Like:
-Air filter
-are you getting enough spark (plugs, wires, cap & rotor)
-coil
-is your throttle body clean?
-timing
-pcv
Any one of those things could be the culprit.

go to this page http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...26diagnosi.pdf and look at page #7. It will list all of the possible causes in the right hand side.
