Clutch and brake pedal bracket cracked

I am in the process of replacing the broken bracket. To pull out the old bracket exactly what must be removed to access it.

You will need to remove your Clutch Master Cylinder. These two studs will have the bolts under the hood.

You may need to remove the lower panel just below the steering wheel to access these two bolts.

This is the back side of the bolt holes but when under the steering column, you will see the 5 bolts holding the bracket to the firewall. You will have to remove the brake and clutch springs too. It has been a while since I took one out but it is not a bad job to do.

If you want to go thru my 85 build thread in my link below, I may have a post on there that shows how to take it out. I am sure the steering column does not need to come out. Seems like I can get one out in about 30 minutes. It isn't hard to do. 400 is way over charge.

If you take out the bottom part of the dash an pull out the air duct it will give you a lot more room. Some people say you have to take out the steering column but you don't you just have to wiggle it around it, just be patient it is pretty tight under there but very simple.

THIS is the best write-up for fixing the clutch bracket IMO

^^^I was going to post that link when I saw this thread..

Remove and replace, no sense in trying to weld it or anything

Exclamation

Thanks for everyone's help this is why I'm proud to own a Toyota but I got the bracket out and found another issue I was warned about and that is the connection to the top is cracked as well. The small little bracket type piece that the clutch bracket connects to is cracked strait through will I need to fab a part to fix this or do this piece come out

I am fairly sure you don't need to pull the steering column but it has been a while. Sometimes the column wont want to separate at the firewall, if it does not want to separate at the slip joint which is the next place you could separate it but is usually rusted, then I have disconnected the complete steering shaft from the rag joint and pulled the whole assembly out that way if you do have to pull the steering column.

Those two bolts you are talking about connect to the actual body. I am not sure how you would go about fixing those mounting points. Probably some kind of welding.

Here you can see the body mounting tabs. The top left bolt you can see a horseshoe type tab coming down to where the bolt goes to. This is on an 84-88 truck, the 89-95 I am sure is similar if not the same.
