yeah nobody cares but I found it interesting research
CLR MSDS, Is Water 70%, Lactic 20%, Gluconic 4%, Lauryl 4%, Propylene 2%. The two acids are the mineral and rust removers, the Lauryl is surfactent(soap), Propylene(thickening)
Vinegar is minimum 4% acetic(FDA regulation).
CLR runs around 30$ a gallon, Vinegar around 7$
CLR works faster and better(Better concentration, lower PKa).
Don't you just love the internet.. You can bet whats in the dip tanks at the radiator shops is way more toxic than either of those

I gotta say my divorce was very expensive but worth every cent.
Marriage in most cases is just a legal form of prostitution as just stated above
To hear no one whine about dropping over $100,000 in tools and vehicles priceless.
good luck with your radiator make sure the radiator shop stands behind any engine damage from the cleaned radiator.

They completely took the radiator apart. He said I got a lot of it out but without taking it all the way apart as he did I was just hiding the potential future problem. He went thru everything and cleaned it. Then welded or soldered the top and bottom back together. I feel better about it now. This shop has been there for over 25 years and has a great reputation. Lets just hope the heater core is not this big of a pita
