Changing linkage on my 1992 Toyota 4runner
I just recently purchased a 1992 4runner with the 3vz-e. Everything seems up to standards but it doesn't shift into 4-low. I was curious to any tips or things to check before just replacing the linkage there and all that.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Welcome to YotaTech!
First, what transmission/transfer case do you have? (there is a sticker on driver's door frame). I'm guessing you have an A340H.
Next, check for codes. Here's the section from the FSM: http://web.archive.org/web/201408161...31diagnosi.pdf
If you have the A340H, the transfer case is a small automatic transmission (planetary gears and everything), that shifts via a solenoid. Problems with that solenoid can throw a code.
