Around here scrap yards are asking for ID and writing down license plate numbers to try and deter theives.

So I was talking to my muffler guy after he installed my new cat. He says he sees about 4 to 5 a week sometimes. Only 4runners and trucks up to 95'. Rarely does he see any other makes. They definitely want the stock ones though. He bolted the front and welded the rear. Actually that was a good price as he charged me only $100 for the cat and $25 labor. This was for the CA one, not the FED one that you can find for cheaper. Kragen wanted $125 for the same one he installed. Hey, I noticed I just hit 250,000 miles.

the catco ones are the cheap junko cats that are worth less that $10 or so. $40 is way low. I live in WA, so believe you me I know what they are worth here. If you have a factory cat, they are low-balling you. If its aftermarket, take it and run lol.
