How did you remove the VAFM? I hope you didn't try to undo the screws on it & mess up the inside....you're supposed to remove the metal clip & it comes right off. Your starting issue sounded JUST LIKE a fried or unhooked VAFM issue...

I found one in the junk yard and replaced the unit as one piece. It is running better now, still, no fire from cyl. 4 and 6. I can remove the plug wires without any change in the engine operation. I am going to check the plug in on the injectors tonight.

All mysteries solved. It is running on all cyl. finally. the last problem was number 4 and 6 injectors were not working... replaced w/ others I had and now the 3.0 is running on all cyl. Power is back. Does run a little high in the RPm's on idle, but I can address that later....FINALLY! So, I had to replace the knock sensor and wire, replace the AFM, Had two stuck valves and two injectors bad....... Time for ALOT of beer.....

I have already adjusted the screw down and I still have an idle around 1100 rpm's in neutral. I am done w/ it for now. It runs and drives...
