Cant find part need ASAP
I can't find pintle caps for the fuel injectors on a 92 4r 3.0l. Toyota wants to sell them to me on new fuel injectors... yeah right. Autoparts stores don't know what the hell they are and insist that what im actually looking for is the O-rings.
Any help at all would be appreciated. top end is half way tore down and i have to work in the morning 2 hours away

I couldn't find them either...
I ended up installing new seals and orings and running 2 without the caps. Knock on wood, they've been fine.
You can get the injectors rebuilt. They clean them and balance them, and among other things put new caps on them dring the process.

Try Injector Services for Pintle Caps
Hey Witch Doctor or Injector Services (same co. opperates as 2 separate businesses) Bothell WA 98021 phone #206-919-0704 might supply them for you.
I know if you send the injectors in for flow testing, cleaning, etc. he installs new pintle caps. ($17.95 per injector) UPS them to him & back. So he must have a source for them.
Perhaps give him a call and ask if he'll sell you a set of caps and for how much. I would like a set of pintle caps for myself as well.
Then post the result here for all of us. I noticed on the last headgasket job some of ours had cracked and or were missing, etc.
Rig gets 18 mpg. So with Murphey's Law working we're just running the injectors w/o pintle caps on 2 or 3. Doesn't seem to be a problem that I'm aware of. 2 more cents-no charge
