'Candied' Taillights on a 2nd Gen.
Is there a writeup on this somewhere?
Even pictures of it?
I saw it once, and thought it looked good, but now I can't remember how good it looked. Seems like a decent afternoon project for one day.

Perhaps I will try this on my front bumper signals aswell...
I'm going to have to use another paint other than Testors... I read most people just checked their local hobby shop and they had it. There isn't a hobby shop here

Okay then, for you Canucks that want to do this and can't find the Testors paint:
Apparently the next best thing is Krylon Stained Glass Red (#9020).
This will be the route I do, hopefully tommorrow...
Remove the lenses, wet sand with 600 grit, mask, paint (3 coats or so), let dry for 8 hours give or take, wet sand with 2000 grit, replace the lights.
The next post I make should have photos.

Mine just finished drying, about to throw them on the truck. No pics of that because it's night. (Maybe I'll get one of them lighted).
I ended up not finding the Testors or the Krylon, but I did find a type called "Crown Glass Coating".
There was a thick layer of dust on the cap, I found it in a weird spot on the shelf. I went up to pay for it and it wasn't even in the computer so it had obviously been there for quite a long time
They turned out better than expected, can't wait to see how they look on the rig!
