edit: they need to be trimmed to fit them in standing up like you would on the install

yes it will fit but its like a puzzle....
it has to go in through the rear doors, with the front seats flipped forward....
an extra set of hands would be handy

Yea You can just turn it upside down so the mounts are facing the roof and you will need to go thru the rear doors with the seats down and do a little finageling but it will fit.
As for mounting it in your 2 gen you need to cut 2 1/4 off every bar and reweld the mounting plate to where your cut is then do the same thing to get it in this time thou you will need to set it in with the rear legs to the rear and slide it to the wheel wells then roll it so that it is sitting like it is ready to mount watch your headliner then it should be set pretty much where it gos may have to slide it on the wheel wells to line it up to match side to side then you can drill holes to mount also on the underside of the truck I made a plate for the bolts to give even pressure and keep from ripping thru the floor when tightened down into place.
hers a few pics of mine during and after install
test fitting here notice the mounts are cut off also the 2 1/4 total inchs cut off to fit the wheel wells and to the floor correctly. You will also need to take the seatbelts off to fit it inwith no issues.
Here is a pick after the floor mounts have been reinstalled and set into place just before mounting
Here she is installed and doing her duty
