buying a 4runner with codes

I am have the same prob with my 92 4runner I just I am only gettin code 25. Lean fuel. While I had it on the scan tool in school I looked to see what the o2 was reading and it came up as if it was. Still on open loop and the temp was -95c.. so on friday I replaced the coolent temp drove about 15mins and my light went back on. When i get into school tomarrow I am going to. Rescan it and see what code I get.. i

It seems to me that the question is how good a price you can get the truck for. The problem is probably the O2 sensor, they do fail with age. It might be a good idea to take a look at it to see if it has been replaced. All of these old trucks are going to have emissions problems, and if the truck is a steal, buy it and just accept that you will have to fix things.

We'll see if it gets sold at the auction. To be honest I wasn't overly impressed. I'd just rather wait for the exact same truck to show up with a blown motor for a quarter of the price.
