Budget rebuild on an '87 Carbed 22R
Im about to buckle down and do budget minded engine rebuild on my truck. Anyone have any experience with this engine kit:
Ebay Rebuild Kit
...or this carb kit:
Napa Carb Kit
Thanks.

If you go "budget" make sure you have the crank checked and turned if necessary (otherwise polished). Don't just hone the block.
Head has to be flat, as does the block deck...
Otherwise, your budget rebuild will last a minimum number of miles.

The NAPA carb kit is fine, that's what I used.
Just make sure you have the number from the little metal tag on the carb so they can give you the correct kit. If they don't ask, go somewhere else.
