Buckets in a Reg Cab
I am in need of replacing my factory bench. I would like the added convience of a center console, so I want to put buckets in. Were buckets ever offered in the 89-95 reg cab trucks. I know they were offerend in the 1st gen.
I am 6'4'' and dont want to put xcab or runner seats in since I am assuming they are deeper on the back than reg cab seats would be, and I need ALL the leg room I can get.
If you have them would you please post pics.
Thank You

Ha! I've looked at those seats too. That guy always has seats for sale, so don't feel rushed to buy them. Figure out exactly what you'd like. Personally, I plan on just finding seats I like, and adapt them to my rig. Although, I'm only 5'-9", so I probably won't have leg room issues. $320 seems a bit high for those, despite their good condition. My 2 cents.

The drivers seat is the same X-cab to 4RUnner.....the only difference is the pass side X-cab seat has the lever for back seat access, where the 4Runner doesn't.
The regular cab trucks weren't offered with buckets are far as I know. And if they were, would be the same as the x-cab seats. We put 4RUnner buckets in our reg-cab deluivery trucks, and they fit and work just fine.
BTW: Wrenchmonster: $320 is a screaming deal. We sell those seats at work for $475-$975 and cant keep them in stock. Those seats are pretty rare, especially in really nice condition.

well, im only 5'11, so i didn't lose any room. but, the seat is all the way back against the cab. THere is room to move the seat forward and still be comfy, but i like the seat all the way back.
The Reg cabs just weren't made for buckets i guess.

No kidding. If I only loose a little, less than an inch its okay I guess. My leg doest rest on the seat anyways. When I started driving mr bro-inlaw had speaker boxes behind the seat, he is only 5'7. I drove it that way for a while, but when the lift went on the speakers came out....

So I have been looking around for more info on this. Has anyone done this swap on a reg cab? I found plenty of info for doing in on a xcab, or a rig with a 60/40 bench, but I have a solid bench..
Any insight/photos would be great

Let me know if you need more info or pictures. I have easy access to the guts of the situation since my interior is torn out at the moment.
