that was after cutting for 35s, but I ripped a 35 apart so I put these 33s on for a bit
thats about 4ft in the air.. jea

Lol! Dude, that is crazy. Thanks for the pics. Ok, well I've been trying to do research & comparisons.. There are 2" perf. access. BL lifts for $60 on ebay. That would do the whole truck, but I don't like BL lifts.. Or I can do the BJ spacers like you said, but would also need to do something for the rear. Although my buddy said I can have his 2" blocks for free.. I've heard bad things about blocks, but he has some on his jeep and say's they're fine.. I duno.. I haven't bought anything yet, but I'm gettin antsy.. Even though.. I know I'll be a turtle w/those 33's..

For like the 10th time, ball joint spacers up front, add a leaf or leaf pack rear and maybe shackles. Body lift possibly and wheels with 4" or less backspacing The tires will fit, they will flex properly and you will have a lift. 2-3" will fit them but if it flexes better offroad I would shoot for 4" +, LIFTS ARE NOT CHEAP! jeeps can be cheaply lifted but then again need 6" of lift to get 33's on them..
Blocks will eventually break down and crack and you axle will shear apart-I seen it happen. Your jeep friend obviously doesnt wheel to hard if his didnt break. What will happen is the axle will move and the drive will will literally rip outta the axle and the axle will break the spring mounts/u bolts (which hold your axle to the frame!) and now you need a new rear suspension.
And you need flex, you really wanna be on two wheels trying to go up or down stuff?
As to the bronco II my friend has the same gen ranger, he has about 0 flex out and on some bad bumps his 33's with trimmed fenders smashed his fenders right off the front..hehe..

Blocks are perfectly safe to use depending on how you plan to use your truck. For a truck that's mostly streeted or that runs light trails blocks are fine. I've never heard of a cracked axle from them or a truck that blew up. That's just ridiculous...
Ford F350's come with front and rear blocks from the factory and they hold up a hell of a lot better than toyota's do...
If you punish your truck or go to the rocks I wouldn't recommend them, but for street, mud, and fire roads they're perfectly safe.

My jeep buddy runs these and has offered to buy them if I don't use them, and so has 1 of his jeep buddies. I also have a Ramcharger that is a 100% snow plow truck, so I might put them on it. Or I was thinking of putting them on CL for a trade for some 33x10s. I just don't want to cut into my DD or do crazy stuff anymore. I did a lot of stuff to my Lightning and regretted it later. Decisions decisions decisions....

Our brushtrucks for the fire dept are lifted 350's not a single one has blocks.

Put BJ spacers in there and crank the torsion bars for 3" of lift. Then get new springs for the rear. After that you'll still have to trim but that is part of the fun. A small body lift may help.
As for gearing 5.29 is what I'd suggest. Just go for it. The 22re still gets good gas mileage at high RPMs and I bet those things are heavy.

Blocks cause axle wrap. If you flex your suspension in the rear a lot they can shoot out no matter how tight you have the U bolts. I've seen it happen. Pretty hilarious but it wasn't my truck. Really, you have to spend some cash so get good springs up front.

I was thinking of putting them on CL for a trade for some 33x10s. I just don't want to cut into my DD or do crazy stuff anymore. I did a lot of stuff to my Lightning and regretted it later.

dont u love that. i had b\j spacers and 1" body with 33's, then i got a good deal on 35's and baught them. i was supposed to get a lift but it fell through so i got out my sawsall and made the dam things fit. if u take out your inner fender wells it helps with rubbing too.

Hahaha...no kidding!! And no thanks. I think I'm gona look for a trade or these monsters will be going on my plow truck. Too bad BFG is the only company that makes a 33x9, 33x10 in a 15"... Good tire, but really expensive.
