so what your saying is the 268 can cause problems but they can be tamed with tuning?

nono those are really big cams in those two trucks., One I think is the LCE Outlaw cam. The other I am not sure of. But no that loping sounds horrible on a 4cyl. On a chevy with a 3/4 cam yah but....

yea, i figured. this is what confused me. ^

im gonna pull my motor this weekend. hopefully break it down within a week or two and bring the block and head and crank to the guy who does the chevy work for my buddy and see what he thinks. i saw engnbldr offers pistons at 20 30 and 40 over so if i can get the money together maybe i'll do a bore with the 268c cam. ill see if the crank needs to be ground too before i order anything. if im gonna do the work im gonna make sure i do everything right.
