&^#SonOfA*&$!!!

so I have received the wrong clutch from MC...

everything was going smoothly; popped the old pilot bearing out, popped the new one in, put on the new flywheel and locktited and torqued the bolts, and then went to line up the new disc and pressure plate, and yeah, it's too big...

now ACCORDING TO MC's WEB SITE, THIS IS THE CORRECT CLUTCH FOR MY TRUCK... it obviously isn't... the pins will not even come CLOSE to lining up on the flywheel...

hey you didn't happen to get too small of a clutch and 2 3" stickers did you?

OH I'm so pissed right now... this order took like a week and a half to come in... and I planned on dropping the motor in the truck this Saturday with the help of my dad...

Tomorrow get marlin on the phone and im sure they will over night the correct clutch to you.

That really sucks tho. It was my worst fear when i was doing mine, I had the tranny flush to the engine but the rear shaft would spin freely, it wasnt in gear lol.

he's only about a 30 minute drive from me; I'd be at his front door in 28 1/2 minutes if he come's back and says "I got it"

Your lucky you had a WHOLE pilot bearing in there. I only had the outer race haha.

Looks like a new rear main seal too?

Oh yea, that number on the clutch disk, thats the same number i had on my 1200ft lb one for my 3vz with the R150 tranny. Dont know if it will help but there ya go haha.

Bummer, all that hard work and we all fall victim to the "wrong part", sometimes. Probably get those stickers and a t shirt now.

Would your pilot bearing removal technique have anything to do with wheel bearing grease?

Put it in HQ mode, and the wording is a little easier to read I made the letters a bit small, lol
