Bleeder, I think you have a stomach virus, something very contagious, like "mad cow disease". You need to be in quarantine until it passes. I recommend a weekend in the garage with no interruptions and a case of beer, for hydration purposes.

Seriously? Did he just put a smiley face after the wedding instead of rebuilding his engine line? I am in shock. Maybe even disappointment. I might just have to stop reading this thread. That's it, I'm selling my 4Runner altogether.

Get some fun in, hopefully it will give you some focus to whip this thing out this weekend. A LOT of us are getting impatient. LOL.

Thanks for all the pics, this has been a fun one to keep up on.

Dude I'm glad i got you before you fired it up! You NEED to check out this engine break in article; its entitled "How To Break In Your Engine For
More Power & Less Wear !" Enjoy!

http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

Here is where i'm at with my build, I plan on doing that break in method for sure. It makes perfect sence.

The Engine Compartment... (Exactly how i bought it but with lots of elbow grease & engine brite!)

Here is most of the motor(yes in the bed...)

And a side shot for good measure, saggy ass & all!...

i have my work cut out for me! Happy Building

That MotoTune article has been making the rounds since it was written.

IMO, do break-in as per the piston ring manufacturer's instructions.

If the engine had other problems, I would attribute it to a bad build, but there are a number of things that can cause a new slider cam to go flat like that.
