Big(er) Rims! (pre 3rd gen runner and taco)
ok guys..so since i will eventually need a new set of tires..i wanna step up the rims size a little..probably to a 17" or 18" (like some XD HOSS, Badlands, Addict, or Diesel) but if i could find a set of 20's (in those styles..or similar styles) then i'd jump on em..lol
SO POST UP YOUR BIG RIMS PICS!!!..but now i dont wanna be seein just big rims..post up all of your guys' wheels!!!..
although i don't like the look..you guys with 22's and 24's and such can post up too...
mainly just lookin for 2nd gen 4runners and pickups and 3rd gen pickups
no flaming! LOL..im sure i'll get some though

I just upgraded to bigger rims. Found out my 14" rims had tires smaller than stock so I swapped in my 15"s, mainly because the tires were actually much closer to the right size, so long as my rear diff hasn't been messed (doesn't look like it's been touched) with and the axle code is right. I think it's a slight improvement, but I think the rims have the wrong backspacing because they're rubbing on the upper ball joint, may have to invest in some spacers or something.
20's are huge, anything above 16" just seems unreasonable.

we have several of those ugly ass toyotas in town. and as far as i know, the only person that like those trucks are the drivers of them. everyone else thinks its hideous. and 3 or 4 of them are TRD with locker in the rear.just completely a waste of truck...

See rims that size wouldn't look good on our pickups because they are to small. If it were a larger truck say a f350 or a chevy 3500 then that would be different because they would still be proportional. Thats just my opinion. If you like it go for it!

if you're going anything bigger than a 16" rim, then they'd better have beadlocks! just seems like a major waste of money to me. tires prices also go up as your rim size goes up. you might get a big smile after you put them on, but i'll guess it disappears first time you offroad with them and see that you've scratched the out of your investment since the tires most likely won't protrude enough to protect the rim. IMO, you'd be better off spending that money on something useful, like trail armor and traction devices.
on a plus side, you'll get a lot of palms to the face as you drive by.
