Yup. Switches are in better spots, better armrest. Check out pismojoe's 86 door panel swap. Good write up!
And Phil, I got a drivers side one (with vent!) from nix99, they might have a passenger side one for you. Just ask for Josh(deathcougar), and say you are from YT!

for the window motors, it looks like they have different resistance values (just a guess) judging by the "2k" and "7k" on the housings, just to the right of the "12v" marking. i think that might only affect what size fuse you put in, but then again, i'm not even sure if that's what the difference is

I would call em. I know I bought the twin of what you are looking for, so they have had em run through their joint at least once. Power mirrors, almost never.

every time i go to u pull it, there's never any toyota trucks. except for that rare occasion where they say "i just got one in an hour ago" and i take a look but by then there's only a frame left... actually the other day they had three, but they were all picked clean and the wrong years anyway... i need a power steering gear box!

just wanted to mention guys that Yoda Jim's lot here in Denver has lots of first and second gen Runners. I am not- repeat not- affiliated with them in any way- but seem to find myself there pretty regularly. If you specifically tell me what to get for you I can look at their selection or you can simply call them and deal with them.

With regards to window motors just be aware that Dorman (see Amazon or ebay) manufactures replacement window motors and the only issue I had with them was they use a "ridge" surrounding the toothed gear that would have to be removed to allow the white plastic toothed gear to snap into place and rotate freely. (I believe the white plastic gear mates to corresponding teeth on the window regulator but honestly I barely understand this stuff myself...)
here is a link to a visual-see the black ridge surrounding the toothed gear?

I am going through this now with my 89 MR2 and have had no luck finding actual working factory replacements for anything approaching affordable price. I am tempted to simply try a Dorman unit and cut away (angle grind maybe) the ridge. Having to splice in the correct electrical connector is quite likely and the last Dorman unit I saw came with 3 plug varieties to match up to.
This toothed gear would be on the reverse side of the Camry window motors pictured in post #111.

Thanks Ron - that's some great information!
If you come across a pickup/1st gen 4runner with power windows and the vent triangle window, I need the passenger side regulator
And if you fine 2 grey interior door panels from an 88 4runner, I'm your man!

got my villager/quest e-fan today, didn't even have to unbolt it, it was just laying there. Got my entire interior out of a $200 truck, including driveshaft, rear window, and t-case. then sold the body for $100. found visors, center caps, steering wheels, assorted interior pieces. grille and headlight bezels....need a dipstick for a T-100 3.4L.

I was at a yard up here in Northern Greeley today and found an 87 P/U with a 22re-t. The odometer read 187,xxx or something like that. The engine was in very good condition, there wasn't anything missing off that motor! I also saw a 2nd gen 4runner 2 door.
