Several pages of posts back I kept seeing shift knobs, since the lettering was worn off.
My cure for this, although not a junk yard mod, is pick up a $.79 bottle of my choice of acrylic color and a 79 cent bottle of sealer from the local craft store(michaels).
Clean the knob, use a papertowel, paintbrush, etc to put the paint in the shift pattern slots, lightly wipe off the excess. Allow to dry, then brush on the sealer. I did this last year, and the colors are still bright and visible.

I sanded the surface gradually getting it shiny. Then spray painted letters red, then sanded again.
That cap did not fit the valve cover. I had to modify it so a standard cap fit within.... as you can see

From what I understand they're kind of rare, but if you can find them-Tundra steel wheels:
I snagged these on Craigslist for $25 a wheel but if you can find them at the junkyard snap them up! They look good on the older trucks:

Does anyone know about what shocks would work for an 86 4runner? like ive seen some aftermarket shocks on some 2nd and 3rd gens, at the Yard.
Also they might have a 89 in there too! I dont know what they are doing with it yet ill have to see if they are going to part it out.

Also, the Nippon Reinz look pretty close to, if not, OEM equivalent gasket sets: http://www.autopartsway.com/PartList.../pagenum1/tabS
