Anyone have the OME shocks on with Cruiser Coils and BJ Spacers? Do they work? Time to order shocks for me - need the correct part numbers - preferably tried by someone!! Anyone?

The ome shocks will fit, but the valving will be messed up so they'll ride bad. I called a guy at ome to try and find a replacement and he said that each shock is valved for the vehicle so using a shock for a heavier vehicle (f100 or lc) on a lighter vehicle (4runner) will result in a crap ride and crappy performance.

Thanks for you help strap. I decided to for go the omes in favor of the adjustable ranchos cause I was worried about the stiffer valving. I guess it really just all depends on your personal ride preference. It would probably also depend on what mods you have and how much stuff you carry. Crappy was probably not the best word choice. I was just worried the 1000lbs. curb weight difference between the FJ80 and the runner would just make the ride too stiff. Then again I like a pretty soft ride.
Cebby-Are you just gonna replace the shocks? With all your new nifty tools, you might want to think about fabbing new upper shocks mounts. I'd fab some with an upper eye mount to add more shock options.

Bill - thanks for the offer, but as you probably know, it is now the cold and flu season - that means my kids have already gotten me sick. I hope it clears up by spring.

Hey guys... got my LC Coil lift done... I ended up using... well... here's the list of all the stuff I used (still haven't done the brakeline...:pat: ) :
Long side FZJ80 coils (48321-6A100)
Rancho RSX Shocks: 17027 (Rear) 17079 (Front) I love these!
Marlin Crawler Ext. brake line
Downey 3" Panhard bar drop
1.5" BJ spacers (from TRDparts4u.com)
Aisin Lockout hubs
Also, I only put the BJ spacers on... I haven't cranked my T-bars at all...

Hey keggo. Looks good. Couple questions. What size tire are those and whats your backspacing? Also did the Downey panhard drop bring it pretty close back to center? Thanks.

Cool... I'd do it today, but I'm not feeling that great. I'm not going to be romping around too much at Pismo this weekend, I think my brakeline should be fine. It still has some slack.

Thanks Cebby! I don't have any body lift. Just the FZJ80 coils and Bj Spacers. The tires are 33x12.5's. I bought two of the long side FZJ80 coils. I really like the ride with the LC coils. I want to get a different rear bumper... the stocker hangs kinda low... What do you guys think about totally removing the rear bumper until I can get one made? Thanks again, Cebby!
