Ball Joint lube
I started getting a very loud and annoying squeak from my front end. Tried to locate it, but was hard to pinpoint. Did a search here and some mentioned Ball Joints. I had lubed the uppers not too long ago, no zerk for the lowers. I remembered the old VW manuals said to jack up the vehicle with no weight on the wheels. I didn't do that, so, today I did. Wow! Big difference. I'm hearing things I hadn't heard before! Didn't realize how noisy it was. I'm sure many people know this and I'm a meathead for not doing it, but, thought I'd throw it out there.

The zerk for the lowers is on the uppers. It just needs put in the right place.
Other than that, I have know idea what you're getting at. Like the point of doing that is? I don't get it. At all. Seriously. W...T...F?
The only part that makes any real sense is VW. In that it totally explains why it doensn't make any sense.

Aren't OEM Toyota BJs a non-serviceable part? That's why there's no zerk fitting. If mine was dry enough to make noise I'd just spend $35 and replace it with a Sankei 555 BJ that comes with a tapped hole for zerk fitting.

I don't know. My uppers have them, lowers do not. Could be a PO did that.

Thanks, interesting. I have some records back to 2009 from two PO's. Idler Arms changed and three alignments. No Ball Joints.
