lol, but to be honest, if I were 19 and living with the parents still, and they straight up BOUGHT ME a 4wd F150 but told be I had to get rid of my Yote, I think I'd go with it...

I love my truck, don't get me wrong, but dang...

that's a "damn if I do, damn if I don't" situation...

What did your other dad say about him buying you the ford or did he go shopping with him? Its a shame he severly over paid for it. I would take it an trade it in for something with value like a tacoma. Just out of curiosity who's name is on the title. Is it yours? what happens when you dad decides to take the truck back for whatever reason. I would keep the toyota as a back up unless the other truck wanna be is in your name. I would tell you dad if he didnt want a scrap yard in front of the house then why did he buy a ford. Seems like a contradiction in terms to me...... and an invalid arguement.

That's a nice F150. I have the same 5.4 in my 2000 expedition, It's been a great truck, has 130K & still runs like new. However... when it comes time to tune it up you will have a blast. The spark plugs are a PITA to get to & like someone else mentioned, If you over tighten the plugs they will pop out of the heads & take the threads with them. I wouldn't worry though. It's a sharp looking truck. I am a Ford man myself & bleed blue. I just didn't have the money to buy a really nice F150 or Ranger so I chose an older Toyota since they seem to run for a long time. Then everyone tells me that the 3.0 engine is junk!!! I can't win.

no offense but your dad sounds like a hardened prick who hates change and cant accept the truth. your growing up breaking the mold and he wont stand for it. if i were you i wouldnt stand for it for one second. of course the roof on the head and such is a good point... i dunno but that pisses me off. good luck hope you keep the real truck

ford truck

Don't try to decieve your dad!!! I'm an old guy so maybe I have a little different perspective. I don't personally know of to many other teenagers out there whose dad bought them a really nice vehicle. Especially an eighty-five hundred dollar truck. So thank the hell out of your dad and sell the toyota. When your out on your own, then do like iamsuperbleeder said. Get yourself another yota build it to the max and use the ford to trailer it to the trails. My $.02 worth Good luck.

I'd just run the new turd off a cliff and tell your dad that you'll need to keep the yota so you have something to drive.

yeah, parkkicks has a good point.

then again, it comes to the point where he is living under his parents house right?

but for your dad to spend 8000$ on a new truck just to get rid of yours seems werid.
almost childish..
