Ah yes, Auxiliary Accelerator Pump. Many years since I rebuilt carbs.

Well let me ask you this to test it are you supposed to pull the vaccum hose while the truck is running or off? When I did it I did it with it off

Off, any fuel in the vacuum hose or dripping out of the fitting means the diaphragm has a hole.

OK well no fuel comes out when I pull the vacuum hose

alright just a update i replaced the ignition coil and so far the problem has not happened. the old coil had a good amount of corrosion in it and had a small crack on the back. no all that is left is to find out why i still blow black smoke whenever i rev it.
