Any fix for V6 Cluster on a 22re?
Just wondering if there is any fix for a V6 cluster on a 22re. All the guages work, except for the tachometer. It's really slow and showing 500 instead of 900 at isle and about 2800k when the truck seems a lot higher than that. It sounds like it could be fixed since it looks like a resistance issue.
anyone know of one?

I'm sitting here with a tach from a v6 engine that I want hooked up to my 22re. It is connected to my multimeter and all I need to know is the resistance the on-board potentiometer is supposed to be. Any ideas?

not on this exact point actually; I covered the basic install and swap process
the tach adjustment has came up in the thread as a popular subject though
personally, I haven't had to mess with it, so I have no definate answer myself...

I have the same one, I just adjusted the pot by turning it one way or another to get it close. Not sure how to set it to be exact. Just be careful, I took the gauge face off and everything, those little screws can disappear easily. Would be nice to know, I'd dig into it again to set it correctly.

Yes, the write up is what inspired to to do the swap in the first place, so my thanks goes out to him. Unfortunately my question isn't answered in that thread either. There were some helpful links and I *may* have derived the correct setting from reading them. I will see tomorrow and post if it worked.
