Antifreeze lines rusted on donor, how bad is the block?

Thanks for the suggestions. I've been using a tiny wire bottle brush, the type for clearing out threads, chucked in a drill. Working pretty good, might need a longer one. Compressed air to clear it out and a LOT of gunk fell out.
I'll pressure wash it as soon as I can get the timing gear off to remove the crank shaft. Won't budge but I've been doing some reading and got some ideas.
I'll do some poking around, see if I can find anything on this block. Thanks for the offer jimkola.

Yea sorry for never updating. I ended up stripping down and cleaning the block with wire brushes and a pressure washer. I was able tk get most everything out that way.
I took a bit of a risk not getting it decked but it seemed OK. I went over the surface with a honing block by hand, and honed the cylinders with a drill attachment.
Put it all together and threw it in my truck. Had to chase down 1 or 2 gremlins at first but it's running great. Got about 10k miles on it since without any rebuild related issues

Glad to hear it. I sort of remember last year thinking about seeing some vids on tube where they basically 'hot tanked' into a 55 gal plastic drum with various chemicals.

For future reference if anyone is looking for a budget parts washer, a dishwasher works great. My friend actually fit a small block 305 in his! (Just the block haha)
I wouldn’t recommend using the one you clean your dishes with, just get a used one on craigslist. Results are impressive!
