I was wondering if i use the 4crawler 1.5 D.S. spacer will it cause the slip yoke to run out of compression and bottom out? I have no clue about the geometry of the D.S. and slip yoke. I don't really know a lot about this kind of stuff "just being honest" so i really don't comprehend the physics and geometry of suspension. Any and all info, help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advanced Billy.

When I added in the DSspacer from 4crawler to my manual trans, the driveshaft-side of it was right around in the same place as my flange on my auto trans. This put it about as close to where my driveshaft was before the swap. I believe the w56 and g52, g54 manual trans' are all the same physical size as each other. I do know from measuring that my auto was about 2 inches longer than my manual and the 1.5inch spacer put the DS back to almost where I had it. I probably could've gotten away without the spacer, but I don't know alot about exactly how much play I have with a slip yoke DS so I wanted as close to the way I had it previously as possible.
I'd say try marking the slip yoke on your DS when you remove it and see how much it has moved and how much length you have left if you install it with no spacer. Like I said, I probably could've just skipped the spacer and not worry about it and been fine, but I figured I'd just get a spacer and keep everything as close to where it was before, location wise.

Well i got it converted at 3. p.m today. I don't know how you bypassed the neutral safety switch, but all i did was put it in park and took it off the auto trans. I would like to specially thank Tumor21 for all the advise and info and thanks to all.

I'm not a 100% for sure about that kind of swap. I do know that there is a adapter to bolt a 22r trans to a 3.0. I would try to google that and see if there is a reverse adapter.
