amber dash light swap...extended
So I did the amber dash lights that philbert did. Ended up looking great.
After swapping out the bulbls, I remember that the lights on my ac and heat part stopped working, I figured why not, and started taking stuff apart to replace the bulb. It ended up being a little tiny guy with a green rubber cover(just like the 194 bulbs in the gauge cluster...no pics sorry). It is part number 74 at all the big auto parts place. I went into my work (NAPA) and the bulb was 50 cents. The thing is is that no makes colored bulbs or makes the covers to make them different colors. I called auto zone, kragen, and pep boys...no one. Im sure theyre out there, but hard to find. I said screw it and put it in. It ends up being almost the same color as amber without any cover on it. looks great to me.
and for those of us with the clinometer on our dash.
The lights are also green. I had two 194NA bulbs left, and it was as simple as zipping out 4 screws and swapping out two bulbs.
End result:
Looks pretty good to me. Nice cheap mod to make the interior look nice. Sorry bout the crappy cell pics...and if someone has done a thread on it already lol...
