altenator mounting bolt ???

iv stripped my top altenator bolt i have one in there that i kinda forced in there about 2 months ago. and it is standard thread. its a 3.0 v6. is it 10mm or 12mmX1.25 thread pitch thanks guys

I don't know what thread pitch it is, but I don't think it would matter what you use as long as you re-tap it to something similar?

Just measure the bolt diameter, 10mm is ~3/8", 12mm is ~1/2". In eitehr event, they will use 1.25mm thread pitch.

Or check the size of wrench needed for the bolt, usually 12mm on the 10mm bolt (might be 13mm if it has been replaced) and 14mm on the 12mm bolt (might be 17mm if it has been replaced).
