My stock wheels are badass but it really comes down to the looks of the vehicle, you cant just say only black or only chrome. For instance my F250 "Gold" would look badass on a set of 20" chrome rims wrapped with some 35' MTR of some sort, and my 4runner "Silver" would look sick as hell whithe the stock wheels in a magnesium color or the Mojava teflon wheels. And as for my Brother Tacoma "White" for sure chrome!

Throwing a wrench into the gears, My vote Brushed or blasted aluminum.
Black does have that redneck look unless you keep them shiney and to much chrome might give the impression that you like to invade the excessory department at you autoparts store like all the homeboys around the neighborhood.

With a nice ARB or TMJ on the front of that and we will have another Stormtrooper rig.

with all that other chrome you have on your truck get chrome... black looks stupid. from further than 5 feet your tires and rims just look like one big black Blob.... the chrome just sets everything off and turns heads. black will never do that. and like the "heep" guy said. you see way too many people driving around with ugly ass black rims...

"once you go black, you WANT to go back"

chrome 1
Black 0

Actually, just paint them a different color .

I like them better chrome. I think the chrome goes really well with your white rig, and with the white on the outside of the tires. Chrome just looks so much better.

I say KEEP your black rims and replace the OEM stripes/stickers with solid black stripes, get the 4pc Ventvisor deflector set, and a factory rear air deflector (above the rear window). IMO, that would set the black rims off real nice.

This thread seems to have really lit up. To set things straight, that 4runner is 4runnerkid's and he photochopped the pics of black wheels onto HIS 4runner to help me see what black rims would look like. Right now i have the stock SR5 rims and would def like a change. Im not totally against chrome as i do think alot of chrome rims look good. I am also totally for some sequoia and other stock rims but i want my tires to stick out farther. My 4runner, unlike 4runnerkids, has black mirrors, black doorhandles, and black fender trim to go with my blacked out windows and there is no stripe on my runner. Since chrome is still an option, can any of you guys that say go chrome show me a good looking chrome wheel that i can get a set of 4 includin caps and lugs for under 300 bucks? Price still does have some effect here.

Do both! Paint the inside (spokes) part of the rim black and leave the rest of it chrome and use chrome lug nuts. Many of the new, expensive, 20" rims are like this and I think it looks great.

If you don't like this idea then I like the black better than chrome. But I honestly prefer alluminum.

Like I said black with the simulated bead locks. Then you get Black with a little Crome, that way everyone will be happy...

I always thought it was once you go black, we don't want you back. Go Chrome, Blingin' all the way, Black is just a little too drab for me.

With chrome bumpers on your truck, black just doesn't look right. Black out everything if you plan to go that way....

Alright guys i thought if another option. How bout some sorta cool combination of silver and black on my stock rims. I have had some good experiences with Callmej and i would much rather pay a fellow YotaTech member then some company. What do yall think of this idea. I dont know how crazy he can get but any of you guys got any cool ideas or do you think just flat black rims would be the best.
