Wouldnt the spline count be the key? If I read the article correctly one is shorter/longer than the other one (backspacing) but dont they have differnt spline counts i.e. 26 and 30? If'n I had one that was too long/short the splines wouldnt mate 100%?
I want to eliminate all of the reasons I know it wont work before I either rebuild again or finally give up and go to the mechaninc with it. I'd hate to get it over there and hear something like "hey these arent even the right hubs for this thing" 2.5 hours into their dime.

The 26-spline (IFS) Toyota hub has a deeper backspacing between the mounting flange and the inner hub than the other hubs, in order to clear the spindle nuts.

Maybe, and I'm just suggesting something here, you got the hub body from a 30 spline Toyota SA hub combined with the 26 spline inner hub. I can measure the bacspacing/depth of my extra hubs if that's any help for you this weekend.
If it's not too much trouble that may help quite a bit. I called Yotayard and they were going to measure the 2 different hubs and give me a call back. nothing yet.
I'm having my OME bars and coils installed this week and want to get my hubs situation straightened out as soon as I can.
Thanks for the help.

Total hub housing depth = 45mm
Backspacing to splined part of inner hub = 10mm

So if the hubs that I have has a dial that has a raised portion, I have the wrong ones?
Are these the SAS hubs? Is that why they've really never worked right?
I ordered a set of IFS hubs from YotaYard so they should be here this week. Just wanted more clarification since I wont have these hubs off to measure anytime before midweek.
I painted the center caps red when I rebuilt them. I think the dials were silver when I stripped them down to rebuild when I first got them.

DK as I counted the splines when I put them on and in consecutive removals to check spring alignment. I remember not ever forcing these on. They fit on my truck like a glove.
Death Cougar, thanks for the little tidbit about the dial curving out part, I've never heard that referred to in countless ADD to manual threads and I had a feeling that I did have the wrong hubs. The differences are usually referred to in the # of splines. Thanks for helping me fix my problem.
As soon as I get the new ones in I'll shoot some pics of the inners on both as a comparison.
Thanks a ton guys!
