Hey Crotchbass, I know how to start a manual, I can usually kick start the truck if i want to, this is just an odd situation.

On my old '91, you didn't have to hold the CSC switch, just push it once. The light stayed on til you took the key out of the ignition.

Tap the starter a few times with a hammer and try to start it.

Reminds me of my ranger. Hit the starter with a hammer for weeks until I finally decided to replace it. It happens though. Starters will get a bad spot and won't work...eventually the whole thing will be bad if thats the case!

I've had a fish swim into my pants before....but thats besides the point!

Keep it in gear when you rock it so stuff gets turned.. and tap the starter with a pole or hammer. try push starting it if you can.

apparently when you hit the CSC button the upper starter bolt flies off and the starter falls half way out of the bell housing. Problem solved. I could have rocked it until my nipples were filled with gallons of milk and it still wouldnt have done anything. I will put the top bolt on and should have it back in action.
