Is '95 a good year for a 4-Runner?

I think we've decided on the LC. It's 3rd row of seats has my wife intrigued. She wants another baby in the next few years. If we got the 4-Runner, we would have to replace it then.
I was wondering about the 22RE comment. Do they last longer or something?

The 22RE has a reputation for being bulletproof, and the 3VZE has the opposite, although they both have their fair share of headgasket issues as all iron block/aluminum head engines do.
In the grand scheme of engines, though, they are both VERY reliable (as you would expect from Toyota). It is absolutely not unusual to see 200k or 300k miles out of either of them.
All that said, the 3VZE V6 is not exactly Toyota's crowning engineering achievement. It makes 4 cyl power and gets V8 economy by today's standards. The next generation of engines (the 3.4L 5VZFE and 2.4L 2RZ) are light years beyond these earlier engines!
