95 4run radiator fan on 91 pickup???

So I have a brand new 1995 Toyota 4runner radiator fan sitting on the shelf and the fan currently in my 1991 pickup is about to go. The bolt pattern for it to go onto my fan clutch looks exactly the same so will it work in my truck? Only asking because the fan design looks different from my current fan. My fan has a plastic ring that goes all along the ends of the blades to form a comet circle and the 4runner radiator fan has just the blades. This a go or a no go?

I would assume that it will work. If it were me, I'd try it.

The ring matches to the shroud to give (I expect) better air flow coupling. My '94 has the "ringless" fan, and it seems to work for me. So it should work for you as well.

I don't spend much time towing a trailer uphill in Death Valley, though.

Yeah, I don't recall the last time I've done that! Thanks guys I'll give it a try then, hope it fits well and works!

3.0 to 3.0 yes. 22r/e to 22r/e yes. I'm unaware if you can swap fans as one may be bigger. may not work with your shroud.
