exactly - they're designed to be removed by expanding that gap. complaining that they're hard to get out without doing that is like complaining that you can't torque a head bolt with a rock.

Hey Issac,

I said I got it. None of you wise acres came up with that little gem untill after I stated that I got them out. (BTW, I tried that and all I accomplished was jacking up the washers. The spark plug socket worked like a charm.)

Props to TNRabbit who sparked my memory of using the old mashed up socket on the pickup a couple of years ago.

Sooo, attempting to look like a smart guy now is like showing up to help a friend move a week after he has settled into his new digs.

But thanks for the idea, Next time I'll try a rock.

Same as a smart a**, just didn't think the mods would like that.

But if you're gonna make me spell it out.

I've stuck with OEM from the dealer; they last FOREVER and I've had no issues with them, UNLIKE the cheapo Chinese ones from Advance/Autozone/etc.
