Iirc "clicking in the right hand side of the dash" presummed to be a relay, and a "five amp draw" showing on the meter..

For S&G's, have someone push open the flaper/vane in your air meter while you sit in the cabin...

Your circuit opening relay is down there, and a fuel pump draws about 5-7 amps after it spikes.

...
That 1.9 your seeing is the voltage drop across the diode fwiw..

not sure what the units are on the continuity setting .. but all the other resistance settings had a reading of 1 -- not sure what anything > 1 means as it's my understanding anything ≥ 1 is an open circuit.

That is definitely a diode test mode.

I've got a alternator sitting here, not sure its fully assembled (yep no brushes or regulator attached YMMV), let me find my meter..
