1) I said this was going to be a realistic repair...not one done on a Saturday with a bunch of friends... instead I use all you guys as my "friends"...sniff sniff.
2) because this thread is SOOOOOOOOOOO prolonged and alot of silliness is inside of it, I wanted to make a realistic oil pan removal one also.

OK, let's review.
Not knocking anything I've researched / read and studied here....but...... I noticed far fewer steps (bolts to remove) in the FSM. What I mean is the FSM says unbolt the front of the diff and the bolts from the front driveshaft and the 2 mounts....so I am going to regroup and go back to the FSM instructions and follow that. hopefully I can skip the part about removing the bolts from the sides since I am NOT removing the diff, only MOVING it and those instructions are for REMOVING it.
Hopefully this will do the trick.
Unfortunately for me, the wife is off today and so am I, so this morning will be filled with "other duties as assigned" (you married guys should understand that QUITE WELL) but the around 1130 I should be able to get out there and work.
step one for me will be to make those "match-marks" as described in the FSM with model pain of assorted colors.....eh...best idea I could come up with.

I agree about freshening up the oil....it's just these micro-projects are killing me.
it will be on my list of things to do when i get up and running again.

you know, I've never had an issue pulling my oil pan off...OH THAT'S RIGHT, that pesky 4" bracket lift makes that job SOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy...
