Please identify the 2 areas encircled...

Other terms I've come across that I have to figure out what and where they are, are:

-swaybar

-front crossmember

-2 front differential mounts

-CV boot

-sway bar grommet

-steering dampener (i know what and where that is...the shock absorber thingy)

-relay rod

-pittman arm

-idler arm

*****I have to say, I've been studying both the FSM and ALLCAMMEDUP's thread, and the FSM reads as being much easier, but realistically I have to wonder if it is.........

The swaybar is on the back side and is all bent up. It mounts to the back side of the A arms and mounts to the frame. You can just take that silly thing out. Just can't take the turns at 90 if you do.

It will have a connecting rod with bushings on it and that is what will mount to the A arm. The swaybar its self is about 1.5" in diameter (I think).

Hope this helps...

Why'd I find this all the way on page 2 having spent 3 days with no update? Did you get the oil pan out yet or what?

Musta had a lot of time on your hands...

It's a good read...You'll laugh, maybe shed a tear, jump at the scary spiders. It reads of a novel still leading to the climax, you now know most of the players and enjoy the antics of the of the author.

This is the point in the story where we have to give a shout and say enough with the hijack and "Get On With It"!!!!

As the story unfolds we hop to see the pan off next. (As long as he does not remember about my ever-so-slow build I'll be alright)

Yeah, once I started I couldn't look away...being a newbie myself that has only been as far as changing the oil when I starting driving it 17 yrs ago! I'd love to start tearing mine apart but not sure if I could get it back together. As 92 TOY says it "don't cost nothing to take apart" but it costs a heck of a lot to have to pay someone to put it back together!

I'm not one to take anything to the shop. I by no means am a master mechanic but I do alright. Been playing around with cars for about 20 years or soooo. I guess I come by it honestly, my grandfather did most of his car work, just as my father and as I do. Non of us are/were in the car business, just don't like paying someone for something that we can do ourselves.

Take it apart and try to remember where it all goes, sometimes glance at book and have at it.

Tempting as it is...Long weekend toboot.
I could stop and see me gram and uncle in Lewisburg on my way through. Hmmmmm Thoughts run through my mind. How to clear this with the lil lady and not get in trouble. 4'11" of total beauty or beast from the pits of hell if you anger her. I prefer the beauty so I don't know if I can make it.
