back feels good the last 2 days so it's gonna be time to get underneath the truck and make a nice straight cut on the exhaust so I could fab up something. need to find a muffler....and pipes....and money.

Jerry, I wouldn't bother fabbing something up, you already know what your going through with those clamps on the 4runner. I told ya those things were bitches. lol.

Have an exhaust shop do it, just don't go to Cole Muffler on Wyoming ave in Kingston, that's the one's who butchered mine. Not so much the welds, but where they routed everything and how they bent the tube and didn't place it where I wanted it.

I've tried sealing pipes with the goop before and it just rattled out. Then again it was on a 71 bug...I have used the exhaust goop on the muffler on the truck. Hole right in the top and it seems to do ok. I think at the joints where there is movement it won't hold well. Just my thoughts.

my truck is certainly on the "nice to do" list. so with many other things to throw money at right now, my truck has to wait.

thankfully, Joe's 4runner is running well and I am using that back and forth for work etc.

cadillac need it's back brakes replaced, and being that it has already been inspected and just needs the brakes done before it can be used again, that will be the 1st one out of the gate.

have the trailer all fixed up and ready to use. Joe's 4runner has a hitch but no wiring, so that's a minus. need to get the engine hoist back to it's owner, and throwing it on the trailer seems to be the only way we may make that happen. might call u-haul and ask them how much to install a harness. or....the wife has a hitch on the back of her 4runner and may have the wiring stuff still stuffed in a box from when we bought it 5 years ago.

still have that new bumper laying in the basement for my truck....needs paint, but that's a nice little project for me and the boys some cutting will be needed on my truck to make slots for the bumper to fit in because it will be high and come straight off the frame rather than drooped down like the factory bumper or the crappy one i have on it now.

exhaust-wise.......I remember coming across a complete cat-back system.....BORLA.....for like $89 from some site....I thing auto-parts-warehouse or something like that with free shipping. although i would like a rumble.....i don't want to be aggravated making that happen. and for $89, if I get a year or 2 out of it, I'd be happy.

body work to do on my truck. don't really care about the looks but I'd rather it look crappy rather than like crap.

Jerry, ply mud bog cancelled. till next year. They even canceled the rain date.

Their might be a simple plug and play harness you can put onto the 4runner.

Let me know if you want me to do those brakes on the caddy.

saw that. there must be a dang good reason. that's a major foul-up right there. was massively turned off last year by it. boondockers puts on a better show i think too.

on joe's....meh...u-haul can do it. on the wife's....i believe it's already there but it is a round one like a cig plug

ummm...yep...definitely......just need some $$$$$

Ok....spent the last few hours on the bumper of my truck. came off rather easily, but i am derailed by 2 bolts holding the mount to the frame. that right there is going to be a project in and of itself.

good-bye

.

that's better

for sale....cheap...i used dynomax and used bumper. 5 cents or best offer

$5 to whoever can get those bolts out from the frame.

is there such an animal as a 6 point wrench?? can't get a socket on it, can't get vice-grips on it.

stupid japanese boneless baby handed people.

can't get the grinder even near it.....tried it. if there is such a thing as a 19mm 6 point wrench, i need one.....trying to fit the vice grips INSIDE the frame and stuffed about 3 inches inside.....not happening....tried it for over and hour. got a 6 point socket on it and thought if i could squeeze the vice grips on it i could hold it steady but just cant get the right angle or enough room. if there was an access hole in the frame directly across from it, it would be gravy. wait a few more years and my frame may be swiss cheese....and then i will be able to.

Jerry, I've used those speed grips before, stay away from them, there almost as bad if not worse the 12pts. I'll take that hitch as long as it works on mine.
