not sure who is open tomorrow. i am gonna have a small order from TOYOTA for Joe's motor, so I will probably just hold out until then.

PS....those little hose clamps are evil (the ones you squeeze)
OMGOSH, YES! Evil is being kind! ....But, alas, they're SO GOOD! lol. I trust them far more than some of the 'screw types'... and to be honest, I'm not sure how easy a 'screw type' would be in that application. Do you have the angled needle nose pliers?

Far as Toyota.... those clamps are pretty cheap and so was the hose, ...but I couldn't wait 3 days, from Michigan......., so I hit,....hmmm, now that I think I'm pretty sure it WAS NAPA..... Anyway, pretty sure O'Reily will have it, or one of them. They just told me, at Autozone, .."We're open til 10pm tonight, come on down"... (picked up some bulbs for the CRV...head light went out last night, ...had a CHP pull next to me and yell at me with the PA, "HEY, ... gotta head light out!"... to which I responded, 'THANKS, MR. OFFICER, SIR!!!! " hahaha.)

ok let me know on the valves thing, I'll reset them for ya again./ They probablty need it though, since they really should have been readjusted a few hundred miles in. I know it's a PITA to remove a 22re valve cover though. 5 minutes on mine and it's off. Especially with the weber on there. lol.

Woot! lol. 9.99$ sounds good!

I actually got all of them, ....couple from toyota, couple from autoparts stores. BTW, I was not thinking of the same hose.... and now, watching the vid again, ...I was way off, lol. However, your 92 might not be the same, in fact I'm pretty sure it is different. Yeah, tha'ts a bigger hose, weird angles, .....Just like my IACV hoses from them.... they were not cheap, but not so much that I didn't want the good'ns, lol.(those were vacuum though,.... The IACV coolant ones,..... O'reily's, lol)

Is the hose you're talking about the one that kind of wraps aroundddddd the thermostat housing?? I might have a pic, but again, I think ours are different. Maybe Ian could help? His is a 92, isn't it?

Here is a little reading enjoyment for you.

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f115...please-235362/

However doble check with your dealer to make sure that part number is correct. I have found my 88 to be different then my 91. Not in the diameter of the hose but in size, the 91 needed to be longer. If you do get a part number, let us know so I can double check with that linked thread. I'll update as needed.

I will read that thread. however, that part # is from the VIN-specific stuff from Toyota Parts Zone's site.

No, cruiserdan gave more of a "general" part number broken out by year. Still would be interested in seeing if the part number is correct.

to make up for the neglect that caused the hose failure, I offered my truck some fresh oil and new oil filter. hope it likes it.

and Joe did all the work too.
